Coronavirus/Covid-19 and the Ensuing Economic Semi-Depression

Century IV, Quatrain 50 Libra will be seen to reign in the West, holding the rule over the skies and earth.  No one will see the strength of Asia destroyed until seven hold the hierarchy in succession. Century II, Quatrain 95: The populated lands will become uninhabitable, great disagreement in order to obtain lands.  Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence.  Then for the great brothers death and dissension.

Explanatory Remarks These two quatrains were interpreted a few years ago and posted on http://currentpredictions.blogspot.com. However, in order to fully comprehend what Nostradamus is telling us, we need to consider these two predictions as one prediction. Chronologically both quatrains address the period of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump during the coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic. This posting does not change anything in the previous interpretations.  It merely clarifies and elaborates the predictions in more detail.

Salient points of the predictions:    a. Century IV quatrain 50 describes the economic devastation of China’s/Asia’s economy and in tandem Nostradamus alludes to the adverse impact this event would have on global markets. This quatrain does not specify the catalyst of the global economic devastation.  However, Nostradamus knew exactly what the catalyst of this economic destruction would be and he alludes to this in Century II Quatrain 95 with the word “death”, inferring to the deaths resulting from Covid-19 infections.  The question readers should ponder is why did Nostradamus connect Donald Trump to “death and dissension”?  China too suffered many deaths and so did the rest of the world.  The inference of this distinction is critical, and it relates to Donald Trump’s Presidency.  We already know why Nostradamus connects Trump to dissension.  We have already experienced this dissension time and time again, and it should be an undisputed fact. But, why did Nostradamus connect Trump’s Presidency to “death”? b. In Century II, quatrain 95 Nostradamus states that the outcome of Donald Trump’s Presidency would be “death and dissension”. Note that the word “death” in this case serves two purposes.  First, by association of these two interrelated predictions the word “death” identifies the catalyst of China’s economic devastation cited in Century IV, quatrain 50, and second, Nostradamus emphatically ascribes the coronavirus deaths in the United States (and possibly in other parts of the world) directly to Donald Trump.  That would probably be due to his callous indifference to the virus infections; his behavioral pattern; his initial cover up, absence of any substantive mitigating actions, and belated reaction; and the shuttering of President Obama’s pandemic monitoring program.  c. Having said the above, it is important to note that in quatrain 95 Nostradamus infers clearly that we should not hold President Donald Trump responsible for his actions.  Judging from the wording “Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence” Nostradamus holds the American voters responsible for Donald Trump’s Presidency, not Donald Trump.  Donald Trump told us what he was long before his election.  We knew precisely what his character and behavioral pattern were. We may have not known everything but we knew enough not to elect him. d. So, what is Nostradamus trying to tell us in Century II, Quatrain 95 when he says “Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence”?  The answer should be obvious.  Nostradamus is blaming America’s social moral depravity.  He points the finger at America’s Christian Sadducees and Pharisees, the pious Christian hypocrites who have used the pulpit to build mega churches and amass great personal fortunes but neglected social justice and crucial social issues for which Jesus Christ was crucified.  Nostradamus is telling us that the election of Donald Trump is just the tip of America’s social iceberg of injustices.  If America’s Sadducees and Pharisees had given the proper sermons American society would have never condoned income inequality, the Supreme Court’s decision of Citizens United, racial voter suppression, racial and religious discrimination, unlimited Congressional tenure, political corruption,  perjured Republican Senators, etc.  If you doubt what Nostradamus is telling us, take a good look at The New Testament to see what Jesus Christ repeatedly said about the Sadducees and Pharisees of his time.
