Large-Scale Migration

This quatrain was interpreted February, 2008. It was updated in June, 2016.

Century II, Quatrain 95:
The populated lands will become uninhabitable, great disagreement in order to obtain lands.  Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence.  Then for the great brothers, death and dissension.

Interpretation with Explanatory Remarks:
The inference of this quatrain is that as a result of either widespread radioactive contamination, destructive civil strife, or serious climate change, some populated countries (lands) would become uninhabitable, as its people endeavor to relocate to other countries.

In this quatrain Nostradamus tells us that as these refugees would embark in mass migrations to relocate elsewhere, they would encounter problems in being accepted (see Nostradamus’ words “great disagreement in order to obtain lands).  In other words, Nostradamus is clearly telling us that these refugees would not be readily accepted by other countries.

What does Nostradamus’ word disagreement connote?  The Cambridge English Dictionary defines this word as “a situation in which people have different opinions or an inability to agree”.  Isn’t this exactly what we are currently witnessing – almost on a daily basis – as these huge groups of refugees endeavor to relocate, primarily to several European countries?  Don’t we constantly hear and read on news media that politicians and various countries express a variety of arguments as to whether to accept them or not to accept them?  Isn’t this precisely what Nostradamus predicted?

Nostradamus is also telling us that these refugees would come from different countries and they would endeavor to relocate in different countries.  This part of the prediction is also correct.

What about Nostradamus’ expression “…great disagreement?”  Wouldn’t the qualifying word “great” relate to our fear that maybe some of these refugees could be, or become, terrorists who could endanger our lives?  Fear would definitely be a genuine concern that would justify Nostradamus’ wording.  Think about it.  You be the judge.

The latter part of the quatrain refers to Nostradamus’ expression “Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence.  Then for the great brothers, death and dissension”.  The sequential breakdown of this prediction is as follows:

  • The words “great brothers” refer to the Kennedy brothers.  The words “great brothers” are a metaphorical symbolism of America
  • If my interpretation is correct, Nostradamus predicted that the American voters would elect someone who would be incapable of prudence.  Nostradamus’ expression “Kingdoms given to men …” refers to the outcome of the November Presidential elections; and
  • Following the November 2016 Presidential elections America would experience a violent social uprising and bloodshed.  A violent social uprising and ensuing bloodshed is also referenced in century X, quatrain 81.
General Comments:
In 2015 and 2016 we have experienced a mass migration of refugees from several countries inflicted by protracted domestic civil strives.  We have also experienced the reluctance and concerns with which many politicians in Western countries approved the settlement of refugees in their respective countries.

Nostradamus’ reference to “disagreement” relating to the acceptance of refugees in various countries is correct.  We can readily recognize that under the ongoing geopolitical concerns and frequent reports of terrorist activities, any politician’s decision-making process to approve the relocation of so many refugees would be problematic, and reaching an acceptable pluralistic consensus would not necessarily be that readily achievable or acceptable to the local populations.

From a chronological viewpoint the mass migration of refugees and the November 2016 U.S. Presidential elections coincide (see reference to “Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence”).

Could Nostradamus’ wording “Kingdoms given to men incapable of prudence” refer to the political discourse relating to the 2016 Presidential State primaries?    Wow!  What a noteworthy observation, especially coming from a man who lived centuries ago!  Nostradamus sounds like Mitt Romney!

Haven’t many Republican politicians perceived Donald Trump precisely as incapable of prudence?  What about Hillary Clinton?  Is she prudent and capable of running the country and solving America’s most crucial problems – unemployment, job migration to other countries, and income inequality?  Her husband, Bill Clinton, approved NAFTA, which was instrumental in the wholesale migration of America’s industries to other countries and he is deemed responsible for the current demise of the American working class.  Hillary, until very recently, supported the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a proposed agreement which would erode the American job market even further.  Do NAFTA and TPP qualify Hillary Clinton to be the next President of the U.S., and is her position prudent?  I never heard her criticize Bill Clinton’s NAFTA approval.  In fact, she stated that she intends to assign Bill Clinton with the task to resolve the country’s economic problems.  Does this mean she intends to get rid of the remaining few jobs in this country?

The word “Then …” infers that the dissension and loss of life would take place after the U.S. Presidential elections.  The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word “dissension” as: Disagreement that causes the people in a group to argue about something that is important to them.  This is an ominous prediction.  The fact that Nostradamus included this event of death and dissension in his book of predictions infers that this could be a rather serious event of street violence and death.  Such an event could create spontaneous outbreaks of civil unrest and violence, bring about chaos and social disorder around the country, undermine the control of public institutions, adversely impact the economy, and seriously impact America’s image around the world.

The latter part of the quatrain referring to dissension and death may already be unfolding in front of our eyes, and it may have become apparent during the 2016 Presidential State primaries.  Look at the reaction of the American electorate vis-à-vis the established politicians?  Look at the enthusiastic reception Trump has received!  Look at the equally enthusiastic support Senator Bernie Sanders has received!  What does the people’s reaction tell us?  Doesn’t it show anger and disgust for the political establishment?

The results of the 2016 State primaries reflect a defining moment, a complete revulsion to political cronyism and corruption.  Does anyone think this awareness of political injustice will stop with the final Presidential nominations?  I don’t think so.  The world economies are gradually but surely deteriorating.  All indications point to a protracted economic secular stagnation with quarterly GDPs around 1%.  The massive jobs migration from the U.S. to other countries will, most likely, continue unabated.  Private equity funds will continue to increase in number and in asset allocations.  Income inequality between the very rich and the 99% of the population will continue to increase.  The national deficit has already reached about $19.5 trillion.  How much higher could it go without triggering a massive inflation – especially if interest rates are raised and the federal government’s portion to service the national debt increases to an untenable level?  At some point in time people’s despair and anger will seek a violent release.  In the near future we will find out if Nostradamus’ prediction has fully materialized.
